    sig pro 2022 questions

i guess by now many of you had read the turners thread with all the issues. here are my concerns

my question is for owners with same type of model as mine and what your outcome was.

small grip i think, lci, slide says exeter- nh- usa also
exeter-nh on frame. so shot gun for time today used federal 115g shot 150 rounds and happy to say not on issue and my casings flew perfect to right. i did not clean my gun i just racked the slide about 200 times and went good.

one iam not a fan if the take down i just dont like that you totally have to remove a part from the gun just more chances to lose or damage. second to much play between the slide and frame.

i think its because the slide is not on a full rail slide if that is correct way to say. it only hooks up to two parts on frame middle and back. comparing to my xd

SO AFTER SHOOTING MOST OF MY CONCERNS ARE NO LONGER AN ISSUE.

Are you referring to the slots? See: http://lundestudio.com/SigProFAQ/IX/21.html

BTW, the Sig-Sauer SP 2022 is an outstanding pistol. Enjoy it.

libertyordeath, I'd like to take the opportunity to comment on specific concerns:
one iam not a fan if the take down i just don't like that you totally have to remove a part from the gun just more chances to lose or damage.
This is no different than any 1911 or HK USPs. Yes, it is different than other Sig-Sauer pistols.
second to much play between the slide and frame.
It's a combat pistol. Once you shoot it, you'll find that this is not an issue.
i think its because the slide is not on a full rail slide if that is correct way to say. it only hooks up to two parts on frame middle and back. comparing to my xd
The four steel rails on the frame that hold the slide are quite substantial compared to those on other polymer-frame pistols, such as Glocks or those made by HK.

well did a little looking on the web and that is a micro chip as suspected. read gun review on cybershooters.org well his article he said that chip had gun info like- serial#,sex, unit, and strong hand of leo in france. all on this little chip under frame.

In have the same model that you have and have not had any issue. Many of the posters before me have already given clear and concise answers to your questions. I can only add to that buy confirming you've bought a good gun. I've had mine for over a year with zero issue.

                  libertyordeath, you wrote:

I have a couple comments about this. First, the website you referenced is in the UK. The SP 2022 was released long after firearm ownership was banned in their country, meaning that the person who wrote the article has no first-hand experience with the SP 2022. BTW, I think this is the article to which you were referring: http://www.cybershooters.org/dgca/sig_pro_sp2009.htm

Second, don't always believe what you read. Yes, the SP 2022 has the capability of having a chip embedded in its frame, but that doesn't mean they all have it. Those that are built for special contracts, such as the French Police, have this, because it was part of the order. (Perhaps the French Police wanted solid evidence to backup claims of "never shot, dropped once" when they end up selling them in a decade or so and need to state the extent of their use.)

All joking aside, I am trying to be helpful. Enjoy the pistol. And, when you have a chance, explore the Sig Pro FAQ. See: http://lundestudio.com/SigProFAQ/
