+1 on the Para. I really liked mine. Bought it for IDPA, thinking I could use
it in CDP, wrong. Ended up selling it to buy a S&W 1911, for CDP. Good gun also.
If you can't shoot good, at least look good shooting

When I checked them out in the shops, I liked the feel of the LDA quite a lot. I've never shot one, and they're a bit expensive for me, but they're on my list to grab if I ever come across one at the right price.
Your logic strikes me as a little off?

I mean, buy & shoot whatever you want. But you say you shoot your 1911 better than a Glock or Sig. I'm sure that's true, it is because your 1911 is single action that that's the case. As soon as you step to a double action 1911 your groups will look just like your Glock/Sig groups.

I was referring to the ergonomics of the gun. One of the things I do when I'm practicing is unaimed point'n'shoot drills, and my 1911 and CZ75B are both very accurate for me this way, which I consider a key feature in a HD gun. I've tried quite a few semi-autos over the years, and these two are the best for me so far.

I had a Sig and a Glock for a while, and they just don't point naturally for me, so my CZ75B outshoots them when I'm in a hurry. It's not because the trigger is better or the gun's more accurate - there are people who shoot Sigs and Glocks very accurately in fast shooting. I'm just not one of them. I'm fine with them in slow shooting, but that's not what HD's all about.

As to whether a DA 1911 will shoot as well for me as a SA 1911 or a CZ75B, I won't know that until I get one and put a bunch of rounds down the pipe. YMMV, as always!

I own an pair of XD's and love them. I shot an LDA Para and LOVED IT. It was amazing, I had no idea that a DA could shoot so well. It was a double stack which felt a littke fat in my hands but I was tearing up the bullseye consistently better than my XD. Like I said above, I love my XD's, they are shooters but the LDA Para was SWEEET!

I highly doubt you're going to locate one very easily in Kalifornia.

I'm considering selling mine. (45 cal.)
E-mail me at my username (alpha....) @yahoo . com if interested. Have original box and 1 extra stls mag. Asking $800 plus dros fee. FTF only. I'll probably post it in the classifieds in a few days.

I love mine, but need to fund car project.
