Ok guys, i'm going to be picking up a Sig P229R in .40 S&W soon. I thought i'd throw up a thread, and maybe you guys could tell me if you've seen one for cheaper.

First off, i want a SA/DA Sig P229 with the rail, in .40 S&W. Not two tone, all blued. The only gun shop i've been able to find on in is Bullseye up in Marin for about $900.

Anyone see one for cheaper in the Bay Area?

That's a bit steep, that is about the price I paid for NIB stainless version.
Give Irvington Arms in Fremont a call and see how much it would cost for them to get a 229R.

If you want NIB then you pay. But If you will settle on a Sig Refur police trade in then try Markell in Santa Rosa. (707) 573-0792. Nice guys and their main bussiness is with LEOs.

is that the price on the tag at bullseye? they're willing to bring the price down. i don't know if they'll do it on all models, but i've been quoted better prices on some.

hmm if you look on Sig forums, you can usually pick up a CPO P229 for about $500 and change.

here's a link to a thread where the guy has NIB P229r's just email him for a price quote, new sig policy is that they cannot post prices for their guns if it's under retail. You should be able to get a better price than $900. Good luck!

Here's a guy in LA on our beloved Calguns classified's selling a P229R for $600, slight blemish on that slide according to him. For the amount of money saved you can have the slide refinished by Sig for about $89. :-P

Looking for NIB. I know there's nothing wrong with the CPO ones or anything, but it's kinda like buying a car. Nothin' like that brand new gun smell...
