From what I gather, those full rail frames are not common.

Naw, that stuff won't cost you a grand. It will take a little time, though.

Honestly, I would keep it! I've never seen a milspec operator before. That thing has to be rare... and the full rail variants are usually desired by collectors.
Then another horse PONY came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a huge sword. My kinda guy.

if that pistol is reliable that is for a lot of people the grail of 1911s: built in rail, but with the basic package.

I would get one if it were available now.

Never a failure. Some time's a little accuracy issue but I reallt think its ammo and some on my part.

Awesome gun. Keep it stock I say! It is certainly a unique look in this day and age.

I say keep it! Full rail Springfields aren't exactly easy to come by anymore.

That's a great base gun for custom upgrades. Send it to the Springfield Custom shop and have the things on your list done and you'll have a nice and unique gun.

I would either upgrade the Springfield or save up enough cash and buy the Kimber. I wouldn't sell a gun to buy another gun. You might regret it.

BTW, the Kimber fans may not appreciate you referring to their favorite guns as "Kimberly".
