I could see a market for people that want a lightweight 1911 for CC. The main reason for choosing titanium is for the weight savings. That's why I find it odd they don't even mention the weight.

The price doesn't have to be that crazy. My 4" Taurus Titanium Tracker in .41 mag only cost me something like $450 new.

yeah, the lack of weight spec is weird for a Ti gun.

Ti also doesn't fatigue like Al does, could be interesting for a CCW gun that can be used at the range frequently.

No front sight to catch on the holster/clothes/whatever. Somebody's attempt at high-speed-low-drag sights.

Turns out that Colin Farrell (as "Sonny Crockett") carried one of the earlier versions of the Strayer-Voigt Infinity TIKI 1911 in the film version of Miami Vice (2006).







According to IMFDB, that particular incarnation of the TIKI "cost in the neighborhood of $6,000."

They did build the handguns used by Crockett & Tubbs in the movie Miami Vice. I saw the regular version the public could buy & its a nice gun. $3k though. The Tiki I last heard was running $6k too. But that was a few years back.

SVI is too busy to worry about proper marketing. They have more business than they can handle. Most of their business are the foreign markets and they have a hard time keeping up with demand. They are pricey, but they are quality too. I have a few of their guns and actually carried one for a while when I was a LEO.
