Finally got my Glock 23

So I just feel like sharing this because this is my first handgun. After 10 gruesome, hot, long days I finally picked up my Glock 23 today. I'm just so excited!

I love the slip on hogue with my 23. A lot of people like the sand paper grips like Talon Grips but I am not a fan.

I don't like them either... I don't know if it makes a big difference in accuracy but my groupings today sucked compared to the last time I shot the gun without the grip.

Fine choice of an excellent weapon.

I put a Hogue grip sleeve on my 23-Gen2 over a decade ago.

It greatly increases the contact area of the grip by adding both finger grooves and a palm ridge.

I shoot 180 gr. subsonics (HS/HST) and it really helps with controlled pairs and general handling.

It may be that the Gen3 finger grooves interfere with the fit.


Shoot a box with and without for a few trips to the range.
