HELP!! My thread lost all its posts

I posted an ad for a trade, when I checked it today the only posts were mine. All other responses had DISAPPEARED! I received several PM's and responded to all of them. However, my outbox shows zero messages sent. Anybody have any ideas what's wrong? Thanks for any help, rideanddive

No clue on the messages from your outbox...
Did you respond via PM or in the thread?

The mods are cracking down on rule violations in for-sale threads... one rule is that specific questions must be sent to the seller via PM (general questions are OK in the thread, but must be answered by editing your original post).

If people were "bumping" your thread more often than once every 24 hours, the mods will lock the thread.

posts in violation of the marketplace rules may get deleted.

did you set them to be saved when you replied? Either by selecting that option when you were sending the PM, or as a permanent PM option by checking the following in your CP.

When sending private messages the forum can make a copy of the message in your Sent Items folder.
Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

No posts of mine are to be construed as legal advice, which can only be given by a lawyer.

I haven't noted mods deleting threads for 'bump' violations if it people other than the OP did the bumping. So, if others can't follow the rules and make posts in violations of the rules, the OP gets a lock? that isn't right unless it is "known" that the OP is having friends "shill" his thread for him.

How do I set save sent messages as a default?

I'm still pretty much a novice. Can you tell me how I set the default to save all my sent messages automatically? Thanks, rideanddive

I've seen a couple of threads where a mod has posted indicating that questions have been deleted.

I think the only time a user post would cause a lock is if the OP responds in-thread or otherwise posts the daily bump less than 24 hours after the user bump... and obviously shill bumping.

click on "user CP" at the top of the page and then click on "edit options". You'll find that option about half way down the page.

If posts in the Marketplace disappear, it's because these were broken.
