    My first HK..... USP9

I love this thing! I put about 200 rounds through her the other day without any problems or issues. This is my first pistol that hasn't gave me any problems during the break in period. My 2 Glocks and Sig 226 had FTF issues the first 150 rounds.

is the 9mm versions grip alot slimmer than the 45? When I picked up a UPS45, the darn thing was so massive in my hands I couldn't reach the mag release. It feels like the UPS45 was built for giants. Does the 9mm fit better?

          My first HK..... USP9

Welcome to the club! Expect years and years of reliability. The $4 10# trigger spring is the only thing vie done to mine and it made it a lot nicer in DA. It takes 2 minutes to replace. Never had a failure in mine.

I also just started slide glide (Brian enos) and I like it better than the mpro7 oil I was using. YMMV.

I hear others saying the USP 9mm's grips are too big. My wife says its big as well. I think it is perfect for me, but I have pretty big hands. I personally like the teeth on the back and the front. Unlike my SIG PRO, when I grip it....its firm in my hands.

Congrats on the HK USP 9!

                  Good choice!

Had mine since 1997 and it has never had problems.

Nice, that was my first pistol. The full size has a bit sharper checkering on the grip compared to the compact and the grip is a bit smaller than the .45 for the people asking about it.

Hope you enjoy the gun, mine was flawless except for one FTF ever, but it was due to a severely bulged brass reload and the same batch of ammo jammed in other guns as well.

                      WTB used AK MFER.

Congrats on the purchase. Have the H&K P2000 in 9mm. H&K makes a great gun and I know you'll like yours!

The 9 and .40 versions are identical frames. I'm not sure if the .45 is any larger. They are large guns. But you couldn't reach the mag release because it's not a thumb button, it's a lever you hit with your middle finger (some use trigger finger). Once you get used to it you don't go back.
