    Bay Area Gun Shops

Hi, new here and was wondering if anyone knew of any good gun shops in the bay area I'm in the east bay but i don't mind driving a bit to find a good shop. I have been to Target masters in Millpitas and Canyon sports in Concord, looking to see if there are any other "bigger" type gun shops with a lot of inventory around here, thanks-

I heard Triple A's in Vallejo is cool. especially for black rifles.Had 2 friends buy from them recently. (AR-15 and AR-10)

I've never been but might make a trip. I've purchased from TARGET MASTERS twice since they had the best prices for both firearms I wanted locally.

I always go to Kerley's in Cupertino, and I live in the east bay. Great shop for hunting, archery, handguns, and EBR goodies as well!

J & R in Livermore. Good folks to deal with and, while it isn't Cabelas, they do have decent inventory.

You can also try Irvington Arms in Fremont http://www.irvingtonarms.com/.

or Reeds in San Jose http://reedsindoorrange.com/.

IMO, on average the best all around handgun deals are at TargetMasters in Milpitas. They're nice people too. Sure, if you shop around you MIGHT find a slightly better deal, maybe. I haven't bought from gungenie.com yet but the prices look real good. Bump the miles out to 50mi on the site for best deals.
Bass Pro Shops has some good deals (sometimes) and if you open a credit card acount I think you can get 10% or 20% off, can't remember which. They can get very busy on weekends and you can wait for a long time for help. Best time is early on a weekday.
Try the gungenie.com first. Only Budsgunshop.com is better on price but then you have to find an FFL.
                Good luck.

While I've enjoyed the service and selection at Target Masters, if you find yourself in Milpitas, I would highly recommend stopping by Valkyrie Arms at 1751 Houret Ct. They just opened their doors very recently, and while their selection isn't great yet (they've got a lot of stuff on order) they are bar none the friendliest gun store owners I've ever dealt with. They also have SCARs, ACRs, a REPR, an AR pistol, an FN police sniper rifle, and several other very high quality rifles and off roster pistols in the store currently, and they were happy to let me play with all of them

City Arms in Pacifica has a good selection of pistols and rifles with very reasonable prices.

I give J&R more of my business than any other area store.
