    9mm Battle Royale

    Beretta 92FS vs. CZ 75 SP-01 vs. S&W M&P vs. SA XD9 vs. Ruger SR9 vs. H&K USP

I'm just curious as to what CalGunners prefer when it comes to 9mm. Some of these guns cost more than others and are of different material, but this thread is more of a "who prefers what and why" rather than an apples-to-apples break down. I'm wanting to gather actual owners' first-hand experiences to point me in direction of a 9mm purchase.

Feel free to post which one you prefer and why.

Note: I left out Glock because I'm not a fan. Quality gun, but I just cant stand the look nor the feel of a Glock. Also, I left out SIG because I'd prefer to keep my SIGness to .40sw and 357SIG calibers...

    PS.

Feel free to post eye candy of your personal pieces as they pertain to the aforementioned guns

Out of the ones listed I proffer the Beretta 92fs.

Out of ALL 9mms I proffer GLOCK 17 rtf2 best bang for your buck. The HK P30L is nice too but its about twice the price and the Glock is just as good.

Glock 19 hands down best 9mm pistol ever built in my eyes. 15 rounds of 9mm in a gun that almost never fails and anyone can operate is hard to beat, plus i like the look of the glock (i also like jeeps). In all honesty i do wish the 19 was a tad bit slimmer but i can live with it. I know this doesnt answer your poll questions at all but o well.

IMO... Glock is the number one choice. Of the choices the Beretta 92fs is a distant second.

I enter the 9mm battle royale with classic alternatives to your basic list. I carry and prefer the venerable accurate and reliable Browning Hi-Power, sidearm of European commando units from WWII throughout the Cold War. My second choice is my conceal carry weapon, the Sig Sauer P228. Light, compact, always ready to fire, never on safe, accurate as hell, etc etc, a delight to carry. Your malignant SIG-ness that requires you to limit Sig to those other sexier more powerful calibers is not rational.
