Value check, Ruger 22/45 vs 10/22?

I'm thinking of trading a used Ruger 22/45 semi-auto pistol for a used Ruger 10/22. Does anyone have any idea how they compare in $ value? Appreciate any feedback, thanks, rideanddive

Dunno what year, barrel length, sights you have on your 22/45, but I wouldn't pay more than $200 OTD for a used, stock 10/22. Your 22/45 is likely worth another $50 at least. Just guessing here. Need to look at condition, etc.

Details on my 22/45

I bought it new in January 1996 from Wilson's gun shop in Fontana? (I believe it's out of business now) It has a 4" barrel and 2 factory mags. Everything is stock, including sights. I'll try to post 2 pics on this message, rideanddive

All things being equal, a 22/45 is worth about 30-40% more than a basic 10/22 at retail. However those numbers can easily change with wear or custom work on either gun.

EDIT: it also depends on if the 22/45 is a MkII or MKIII model.

your totally right, you can get a 10/22 new from turners this week for 189!

I bought a 10/22 for $189 this week at turners, but also bought the same 22/45 ( I think they called it a P4 at the time) in the late 90's. That same guns is also on sale at Turners this week for $239 so ya, at a minimum I would say its worth $50 more than a 10/22. However, your 22/45 like mine is a Mark 2, it does not have the new fangled loaded chamber indicator and magazine disconnect in it. To me, that makes it worth more. If I already didn't already own the same gun, i would buy you a new 10/22 for it today!
