Opinion on SIG

Ok fellas. What sig is your favorite and why, what is the most accurate in your opinion? what model and caliber do you like best? I am concidering a 226 in 9mm

Right now my favorite is P229 in .357 Sig, but I will be getting a 9mm barrel for it. The P226 is just as good except that it is full size.

I have 2 early 1990 production 226 in 9mm. Accuracy and reliability have been great on both. They keep me sig-tisfied

Teh interweb tells me my P210 5-9 in the most accurate 9mm, but I have not shot it. Of the Sigs I have shot, my P226 X-Five competition is my most accurate 9mm, hands down. I have found that all Sigs are pretty much more accurate than I can hope to ever be.

I am a .40 fan, if you are too I highly recommend checking out the P229 in 40.

SIG Sauer P228 - My favorite. It's comparable to the P226's accuracy in a compact package. Fit and balance is perfect for me.

SIG Sauer P226 9mm (stamped slide)- Close second favorite. It's very accurate out of the box.

SIG Sauer P239 9/40/357 - Lotsa fun in a small package. Quite accurate for a small gun.

SIG Sauer P220 - Best DA/SA in .45 ACP. I still need to work on this.

SIG Sauer P225 (ex) - Great ergonomics but crappy DA. Good accuracy.

I love my P226ST in .40.
In terms of appearance, I think the P229R looks the coolest.

compact guns

I know alot of guys like the smaller more compact guns but and dont ask why. But I Like a full size gun , i just do. My frame is large enough to conceal and I am just a bastard about a full size gun. No need for snubbies or mouse guns here.

I have two Sigs on hand and one waiting for my 30 days to pass so i can Dros another one.

P225: Long DA/ crisp SA Great accuracy in a small single stack 9mm

P220: Amazing gun, at the end of the 1st range session, I was getting to eat out the center of the target Easy DA and SA.

I love all my Sigs :-P

Well I only have one so it is my favorite - Sig 229 two-tone in .357sig

My police turn in 220 is a more accurate than I am. Not bad for under 4 bills. 8 +1 .45 acp is nothing for bad guys to take lightly.

Fullsize & regardless of the caliber: your choice boils down between the P226 and the P220 and all its variants. If you have extra $$$, you can also get the P210.

If it's a 9mm you want, its between the P226 and the P210.

If you want polymer SIG that's almost a fullsize, then go with the sig pro. It's available in 9/40/357.

Just kidding, I think they are great guns. I don't own one, but would like to someday. A friend owns several. My favorite is the P239 in 9mm

P225 is my favorite and my BDA/P220 is a close 2nd. The single stacks are awesome.

An Unsolicited Opinion to the Powers of SIG

SIGs are the finest weapons available; the P226 in 9mm is the finest of all SIGS. It's is extremely accurate and incredbilbly reliable. It's good looks remind me of Browning HPs. God is well represented in its details. 9mm is cheap AND easy to shoot: it's all you need for range and home defense. The P226 is not inexpensive; but you get a lot for the money.

p228 is the only way to go. Feels like it was made for my hand and is 10x more accurate then i am right out of the box. I've put maybe 5k rds down the tube since my last malfunction. (the one before that was a FTE while a first time female shooter was firing, possible bad grip / weak wrist issue, dont want to put all the blame on the firearm here)
