    Subcompact 1911s

What do you guys feel is a good subcompact 1911?

    How does:

    1) Colt Defender .45ACP (O7000D)
And how are the 90 series pistols...good?

    2) Kimber Ultra CDP II

Any other good subcompact 1911 in .45ACP?

Para Nitehawg! 10rd mag +1 in the chamber. Really nice gun but really hard to find stuff for it like extended slide release, or grips. I sold it to get my reloading setup . I wouldnt get a sub compact to take to the range daily, unless you have a primary 1911 to take to the range.

✟ In the beginning was the 1911, and the 1911 was THE pistol, and it was good. And behold the Lord said, "Thou shalt not muck with my disciple John's design for it is good and it workith. For John made the 1911, and lo all of his weapons, from the designs which I, the Lord, gave him upon the mountain."✟

I love my Wilson CQB and I imagine their compacts are just as nice.

I love my Springfield Armory 1911 Loaded Champion. Just the right size for me. I think if I went any smaller, it would kick like a mule.

Well, subcompact to me means it pretty much has to be a Defender or an EMP. A lot of folks seem to like the EMP quite a bit.

I own a 3" Kimber Ultra Carry but I've since come to believe that 4" is the sweet spot. That's why I bought a CCO format Kimber Compact CDP. It gives you the superior ballistics and reliability of a Commander with the compact frame of an Officer or Ultra.
