Repeal AB 962, Support AB 1663
Assemblyman Curt Hagman (R- Chino Hills/Orange) has introduced AB 1663 which would repeal AB 962. As passed last year AB 962 required gun dealers to put all handgun ammunition behind the counter. Starting in February, AB 962 mandates that dealers register each purchase and obtain a thumbprint from ammo buyers. AB 1663 will reverse the negative impacts of AB 962.
AB 1663 failed to move out of the Assembly Public Safety Committee, but it was granted reconsideration and may come up for another vote within the next few weeks. Please click on the links below for updated information and for information on what you can do to help.
