    CZ75

Lately I have been eying the CZ platform. CZ75 really start to appeal to me. I don't know much about them, other than reading from their website and hold it once in my hand (which was greatest fit for me ever).

So share with me your CZ experience (and please include the model as well), how it shoot, how difficult is to clean/lube, how's parts/accessory, and what do you like and dislike about CZs.
I apologize ahead, when I'm tire/sleepy, my 3rd world English will sneak out.

I was going to buy one (the SA) but couldn't find any shop that had one around me...so bought a G17 OD. Love it. But I've read nothing but great things about the CZ75's...

I have a cz75b in 40 cal. I love it! way more accurate than I am. easy to field strip. I never completely disassemble my handguns so I can't help you there. there are lots of accessories, I like http://czcustom.com/.

the only bad thing about it is that after shooting about 200 rounds of cheap ammo, I will get some failures to chamber. the rounds get hung up on the feed ramp which gets filthy. it's not really much of an issue, I could just polish the feed ramp I guess, but I'm lazy.

The CZ 75 is a wonderful pistol. It is hefty so maybe not a great ccw piece but they are really accurate, utterly reliable and can have really nice triggers. I would advise against a decocker model as most do not perform work on the actions without a very stiff fee. They are crude but they definately get the job done. They will be gritty out of the box, trigger will be poo but if you are looking for a defensive gun it will serve you well.

I previously owned and sold a CZ40B. No complaints at all. CZ is built to last, not look pretty. The heavy CZ75 in 9mm is probably a joy to shoot. Weight is a great thing for taming recoil.
The CZ75 used to cost less than $400 in my area. I think it is now closer to the $700 mark.
            Good luck.

I've had my SP01 in 9mm for about 2 months and I love it! They are accurate, reliable, and pretty easy to take down and clean. I have about 1000 rounds through it now and not one hiccup. This will be my one gun that I will never get rid of.

As others have said, the trigger took a few hundred rounds to smoothen up. It's not 1911 crisp but it is still pretty sweet.

Not too many accessories for them but, for me, there isn't much to change on mine.

Visit www.czcustom.com if you want to look for parts. I also bought my gun from them and it was an easy transaction.

I just picked up a CZ Sp-01 Phantom and love it. I had always eyed them, but never gave them any serious consideration, till I was at my local ffl and held one, since then I've wanted one.

I let my sister in law shoot it and she told me it was the nicest feeling gun she ever shot. If people used to ask, what 9mm should I get if I only get one. I used to always recommend a G17/19. Not anymore i am a complete CZ convert.

What's not to love accurate, ergonomic and reliable as heck and add in 19+ 1 capacity, even though the mag says 18.

I am a newbie and always liked the way the SP-01 looked, but didnt know enough about CZ at the time of my first purchase, so I bought a M&P 9mm, four months later i bought SP-01! i love this weapon, hardly no recoil due to its heavier weight. Extremely accurate, eats everything i put in it from Federal from Walmart to Herters from Cabeles (dirrrrty). Have not had one failure of any kind. Hard to find a holster(still have not found one), accessories i found on only a few web sites "czcustom.com" was the best. The CZ website store has stuff, watch for the daily specials i got some great deals on magazines. I will definitely get another CZ and would recommend them to anyone. DA is heavy, SA is fine but could be better, some people find the smaller slide surface hard to grip and rack, not a problem for me. Mine came stock with Tritium night sites, with no extra charge. The extended beaver tail locks my hand in place, feels very sturdy, follow up shots are easier and I have better grouping because of all these things.

The CZ-75b used to cost just over $400, and now it's in the $550-ish range. Around the same price as the Glock/XD/M&P, still cheaper than a Sig/HK/Beretta. I'd say for $400 it was a screaming deal; at today's prices, it's about right for what it is. All steel, built like a tank, super accurate and reliable. And the fantastic ergos you already know about.

There aren't too many aftermarket parts for it, but most can be found here: www.czcustom.com. The out-of-box trigger pull is usually pretty creepy and gritty, but it does smooth out with use (hence the included snap caps for a "poor man's trigger job"). No drop-in kits, either. You'll have to have a smith do the job, and there are only a few that do really good ones (Angus Hobdell, Matt Mink, and I hear Dave's Metal Works does pretty good work on CZ's as well). Internally, it's a bit rough around the edges in terms of finish, but it fits where it counts and will shoot accordingly.

If you want one, get one. With aftermarket sights and a trigger job, a CZ-75b will hold its own against most 9mm pistols twice its price. You'll have to get into the 952/X5/P7/P-210 type pistols to exceed it in terms of accuracy.

I have a P07 Duty and it has been 100%. Because of this my buddy wanted a CZ and chose the SP01 Phantom. After shooting it yesterday, I want one too.
I like the quality and the out of the box reliability, and accuracy it displayed yesterday.
Talk about a nice, predictable, and smooth shooter!

I don't want to start a new thread so I'll ask here

Can I rebuild 15 rounnd CZ75 mags using CZ75B kits? The originals are worn out and going in a 75B. Thanks!

                        WTB used AK MFER.

I have only managed to shoot a range rental but the SP-01 is the best 9mm(in my opnion) I have ever shot, and the only one I have put money down on(**** 1 in 30 rule, cant pick up till the 22nd)

The main thing I like about the SP-01 model is the extra weight toward the barrel of the gun, helps with keeping everything under control. That said the weight is also the only real downside of the CZ 75, they are a big heavy gun, not good for a CCW weapon.

Cleaning is easy, just line up the notches on the slide and frame, pop out the takedown pin, and remove the slide, everything else is obvious.

I would suggest trying one at a range to make sure you like it, but overall I will tell you the same thing the guy at Turners told me when I put the deposit down, you will not regret buying a CZ-75.

My cz75 p-01 wasn't stiff or gritty out of the box. And i would hardly describe it as a crude design/action.

                            Just my take, though

After my first cz sp-01 experience I now own 4 cz's. The sp-01, 75b single action, and two p-01s! my wife loves the cz out of all my 1911's, glocks, sig, smiths and bhp.
