is it too rough? the thought of sandpaper to hand seems abrasive.

It's not. Abrasion requires not only an abrasive surface but also friction. Once you grab the gun your hand wont move. Now if you were to rub your gun against your face or something then yeah, it would probably hurt after a while.

I just got some Talon gun grips for my Glock 19, and love them! They are easy to install and feel great when shooting because I can get a firm grip on the gun even while my hands are sweaty! Anyone else got a report or opinion on them? Also, has anyone ever taken them off their gun and do they leave a residue behind? Thanks!
I have removed and replaced a pair and they leave very little residue behind. The few sticky pieces of adhesive left were balled up easily removed by hand. Mine are on a game gun and they are perfect for that application. They may be a little rough for IWB carry without an undershirt.

I like mine a lot too. Only wish they extended higher to where your thumb would go.

You know, I had thought that too when I saw them. Me personally, after actually using them I don't think they need to be that high. YMMV.

I think i'd only use talon for a hunting gun, or a hip-holstered carry gun. Fantastic no-slip grip. The thought of using it for a plinker just seems too painful for my hand. And the though of IWB carrying with that on... ouch.

Stuff reminds me of skateboard surface...

For now I'll stick to some creatively textured wood and polymer grips. (although I totally understand for a Glock or other 'plastic' gun how necessary the talon is if you don't have some custom stippling done).

Again, it doesn't hurt at all.

Where can I check them out and buy them?
Are they the stick on grips?
                      Thanks

Bought mine sight unseen for a Glock 19. At risk is <$10, and after reading all the positive reviews, I figure, what the heck. Didn't regret the decision. Where to buy them? Google is your friend.

I loved mine, but they kept shifting with my death grip. I dry fire practice almost every day and eventually removed them because my hands were going raw and they also kept shifting. Then again, I'm not sure I installed them right :/

I also feel like my gun sits in my hand much better without them, which is something I didn't notice until using them for a few months and then taking them off. There wasn't any residue that couldn't easily be removed.
