Had a short range time this morning and tried out my new Sig 2022 9mm.
I like the slide finish. This is the first pistol I own to have ilaflon finish on the slide (as lease I think that's what it is). But the barrel's finish does not hold up. My 2022 only have 200rd fired through it and the "smileys" already appear. It's not the first time I hear that criticism about the barrel finish. It's not that big of deal to me. Who care what the external finish on the barrel anyway right?

In person the finish almost looks like has a layer of copper on it. Semi glossy.

My 2022 has LCI on top, with internal extractor.
The grip I have on was the med size. In a way, it's very similar with Glock style of grip angle (without the grip swell or grip bump). With even sallower curve, I think I will order the small backstrap for it will allow me to grip a little higher. But beside that, the controls of this pistol was nice and easy. I like the enlarged slide stop (when compare to Sig P series), it's easier to engage and the mag release was with in the reach of my thumb. With my small hands, that's a nice plus.
This is the 2nd time I shot this model and first for this pistol (bought new in box). As I remember it, the trigger needs lots break in time. The double action was on the long and a bit heavy side not unlike any DA/SA style pistols out there, and the single action was fine. The part I dislike about the trigger was not the trigger travel distant or the weight of trigger pull, but the breaking point. I like my trigger to break clean, like a fine 1911 trigger (I think most shooter would agree). For a service grade pistol the trigger is fine as it is.
Well, how did I do?

10rd each target. Two hands free stand slow fire. Targets were out 25ft.
Not too bad if I so so myself. As I mention before, the trigger is a bit loner and heavier than I used to but a mag or two after, I can shoot it just fine.
Finial word, for the price I pay for ($399 pre tax), pretty outstanding.
