    Ruger SR9C reviews???

Help, I wanna know what people think of them??? It's cute enough but I need to know if people have been having any issues with them.

    Thanks!

The SR9c is practically flawless. We have 2 ... at about 1k and 300 rounds respectively ... not a single malfunction of any kind. The trigger is very good, and it's quite an accurate shooter. They have gotten so many things right about it, at least for my tastes.

Here's my review. I purchased a two tone and initially realized that the slide is EXTREMELY difficult to rack, even using the 'Hold the slide and push the frame forward' technique. The trigger is crisp compared to most other polymer guns but it breaks at about 7.5#. The stainless serrations are rather sharp and could do with some filing. Field strip requires that you push the ejector down towards the mag well opening but unlike a Glock or Kahr, you don't have to pull the trigger. Removal of the mag disconnect is really easy. The loaded chamber indicator sticks up like crazy. The sights are not only adjustable for windage but elevations as well. The trigger in a trigger safety doesn't protrude like on a Glock. The back strap can be reversed to better fit your hand. The slide release is actually a slide lock on this gun. There was tiny sign of peening on the barrel where it meets the slide near the chamber from the factory test shots.

After 700 rounds, the peening hasn't changed one bit and is a non-issue at this point. The slide is easier to rack and getting better with use. The front slide serrations can now be used to press check. The slide lock sorta works as a slide release. The grip is a pleasure. The finger extension is great but not necessary for people with small hands such as myself. The elevation adjustment on the rear sight is much appreciated. Recoil is MILD. The trigger was hard to get used to but now it's no problem shooting a ragged hole at 7yds and 2" groups at 15yds. Although it's relatively crisp, it break weight is much higher than I'm used to. I guess now I'm used to it. The angled front sight post not only aids in snag free draw but the white dot gathers A LOT of ambient light. Night sights are almost not necessary. The included mag loader sucks. It's been malfunction free. Runs like a sewing machine. Only lubed, no cleaning yet. Will try to go for 1000rds without cleaning.
While we're here arguing about the latest high tech running shoes, there's some Kenyan out there running barefoot. Guess who's gonna win the marathon?

I pick up my SR9c on friday. Going to take it straight to the range and put about 50 rounds through it. It felt real comfortable in my hand when I went to do the transfer.

I got to shoot my friends SR9c few weeks ago. Nice solid gun not bad, a few issues though: Slide is really hard to pull back, trigger pull is a little too heavy and the mag doesn't always want to come out. SR9c is not a bad gun but I'll stick with my Glock 26
Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

You might want to do a quick field strip and wipe out the excess packing grease first.

Cute enough? You just need to accessorize Girlfriend.. Some glitter, hot pink sights, rhinestone hand grips.. Dress it up or dress it down.. This gun goes with pumps or sandals..

bought mine and shot 300+ rounds out of it ZERO problems with FTF, FTE. Slide is very difficult to rack but hopefully will ease up after it's broken in. I like the trigger pull, no slack and quick reset. Great shooter, very accurate out of the box. Buy it and have fun.

I love my SR9c, I've got about 1000 rounds through it and it's a great little shooter. The slide was a little hard to rack at first but now is no problem. I have the stainless one and the serrations did not bother me. The trigger is alot better than my SR9 was, it's smoother and a little lighter on the pull. I don't know why but I actually shoot better groups with the C than the fullsize. And don't forget Ruger has great customer service. Find a range that has one and give it a shot I think you'll like it. Redhemi
