    Glock 17 mag follower?

I'm new to glock world and Just want to ask. I just bought a Brand new Glock17 mag for my G22. I noticed that the follower on the G17 is different from the G22 mag. Every time I load a single ammo on the mag and rack the slide. The slide release will lock open the slide, and not load the dummy round. Do I need the get a different follower or what kind of G17 mag should I get? I noticed there are new models and old models. which one did I bought? Here are the picture of the follower on my G17 and G22 mag.
LEFT: G17 mag, RIGHT: G22 mag

Are you trying to run a 9mm conversion in your G22? Why else would you get a G17 mag? When I get home tonight, I will stick a G17 mag into my G24 and see what happens...

Sorry, I did not think that I would need to mention this. Yes, I have a 40-9 barrel on my G22. that is why I'm using a G17 mag.

Load up your ten round Glock 17 mag, let it sit over night. In the past this used remedy the issue you mentioned. Hope this helps.

          you can use a .40S&W mags to load/shoot 9mm. I've used g22 mags in g17's before without a problem

Well I tried these 3 different mags, and they all worked in the G24. All 3 loaded the round and held the slide back on empty. Don't know what to tell you, but you can't load it all slow like, you have to crank it hard and fast, just like when it runs by itself.

I would assume yours will work because of yours having a better follower. do you have a mag that has the same follower like my G17 on the left picture? I would like to see someone try what I wrote on my first post. Thanks for the help!

Found a 10 rounder with that follower number, it works fine in my G24. Loaded 3 different rounds and locks the slide open on empty.
