    Any LCP shooters here?

I pick up my LCP tomorrow, and am going to try and find some ammo today. My question is for anyone who has an LCP, what ammo are you using? This of course will not be a plinking gun, so I am looking for self defense ammo. I have read allot online, and it seems there are some rounds that do not cycle very well. Right now I am leaning toward the hornady critical defense. Any help would be great.

I've heard and read that due to the weakness of the 380 it is better to use fmj ammunition rather than the fancy hollow points because the fmj barely penetrate into the minimum depth of ballistic gelatin for "sufficient" stopping power. I can't cite an exact source for this so you'll have to research it on your own. That being said, the corbon HPs have fed just fine through my lcp.

I'm just using American Eagle FMJ right now because I can't find anything else.

I do not know. The box does not mention anything about barnes anywhere on it, even in the fine print. The ones I have are the Corbon high velocity 90gr JHPs. They state the velocity is 1050fps, but I highly doubt that the 2 3/4" barrel on the LCP could get even close to that.

The Part Number for the ammo is: SD38090/20

that's often said of 380ACP and more commonly about the 32ACP.

It may have a grain of truth, especially in cold conditions when people layer up with think denim clothes.

            these sites have more info:

I'm using Hornady Critical Defense and Remington Golden Saber. Recoil and muzzle flash with the Hornady are very easy to deal with.

From the info on that web site. It looks like the corbon with the barnes dpx is 80gr not 90gr hp. It looks like the dpx penetrated, and expanded well, but I heard they dont cycle well through the lcp. I wonder if I polished the feed ramps if that might help.
