That's a great price for a Russian, I'm guessing there is finish damage or something like that to drive the price so low.
Very reliable gun, good for HD.
Just remember it shoots 9x18 Makarov ammo, not standard 9x19 (9mm Luger, 9mm Nato etc).
The 9x18 ammo can be hard to find at retail stores, I buy it at gun shows.

That was a good deal. I have a Russian made Makarov and its a fun gun to shoot. Ammo is not too bad to find and can be ordered online at least for a few more months here in Cali.

I bought one of those new at Turners maybe 15 years ago. Nice shooter. I bet you like shooting yours.

I bought three of e a few years back for $125 each still in cosmoline and with 2 serial numbered mags each.. they seemed unfired and were bulgarian. They are extremely reliable. I have not had one jam yet with the thousands of steel cased russian ammo I have fired through em.

They are pretty much a copy of the walther PP.

Check out the selection of 9mm Makarov ammo for sale at AmmoToGo.com. 9x18mm rounds in-stock with fast shipping and cheap prices today.

Ammo is not an issue to get...... It was made to shoot the steel cased ammo.

The Makarov is a wonderful little pistol... I loved the E.German one I had.

I had one years ago. It was my first HD gun that I bought through a friend who was also an FFL. They're not that expensive new -- $250 at the time, but a great gun. In the the late 90's, I sold it to my cousin who wanted something for HD.
