Hmmm, it would seem that if you saw it California, that pistol was imported illegally if it was in the hands of a non-exempt individual.

Now, MAYBE if you turned it into a SINGLE SHOT, then transferred it, then turned it back into a fixed mag.. would that work?

Pretty sure the ones I saw up north also had a threaded barrel - took a look at a few of them and they had what appeared to be a nut screwed on to the muzzle. I presume that's so a flash hider can be attached.

I'd guess that if someone disabled the gas system or fixed the mag prior to moving to CA they could bring it with them, PPT to follow?
