    Converting a 9X23 to shoot 9X19??

Found a "Star" 1911-style pistol chambered in 9X23 (odd ball round) wondering if I can modify it to shoot 9X19? Thanks in advance.

That "9x23" is the 9mm Largo. You can still find ammo for it, if you look. The only "modification" to SAFELY shoot 9x19 ammo is a replacement barrel chambered in 9x19. That would not be cost effective for a Star pistol, as they have been out of production for sometime and not that popular when they were in production. Might want to check Numrich and Sarco to see if they have any 9x19 barrels for this model Star pistol. Beyond that, just find some 9mm Largo ammo...... DO NOT fire 9x23Win or 38Super ammo, that is considerably more pressure than what the Star is designed for (esp the 9x23Win).
    Luck favors the prepared.

The original battle plan did not survive initial contact with the enemy.
