1911 Question

Why are 1911's so hard to find? In particular, a Kimber Custom TLE II. Am I not in the loop of something?

Everything got hard to find the day after Obama got elected. Some companies have caught up, some haven't. There may be more to it but I think that pretty much covers it.

I believe they are just being bought up as fast as Kimber can make them. My local gun shop has had two of the TLE II's over the past 6 months. Niether one lasted more than a few days in the case.

Well, it's kind of short notice (like 15 minutes)--and who knows if you're even located in the general area--but at 9:00am today the Turner's Rancho Cucamonga store is having their grand opening, and Colt 1991's are on sale for $699.98. Only 25 available, and only at the RC location.

Wow, that's an incredible deal compared to San Diego prices. I'd jump on it if I were able to get over there.

I've discovered the best way is to establish monthly personal spending limits w/ your SO, then you'll almost never be in the above situation.

The gun you seek isn't rare or particularly good. So, if you can't find that gun, there are many others just as good or better at similar price. I'm sure you'll like another, these mid-range 1911s are pretty much all the same.
