    Another SA 1911 Owner!

Well today I took the plunge and purchased a Springfield Loaded in Stainless with adjustable sights. I was originally going to get a mil-spec, but the added features of the loaded just made sense for the extra couple hundred bucks. Pick it up in ten days from Wild Bills in Elk Grove...

Good job on going with the Loaded is it marked Brazil or Geneseo, IL? I have a MC Operator and a Loaded 9mm. You'll love it.

Congrats. I've got the Parkerized Loaded. Love the gun and love knowing that I have Springfiled Armory just a call away to help with anything I need. SA customer service is like AAA for guns.

The great warranty I've heard of was a major part of my decision also...Is there really any difference between the US made and Brazilian made frames though?

I could be very wrong but I think all SA frames are made in Brazil. It is only were they are finished dictates what is marked on the gun.

I dont notice much if any difference between the two. The ones built in Geneseo may have a bit better fitting to some parts and less stamping to the frame but other than that they are both great. The 4lb trigger job and front strap checkering is a good place to start if you want any extra work done by the Custom Shop.

My SS Loaded had a stock 5.5lb trigger pull which wouldn't have been so bad, but it had a lot of up/down slop and nasty creep. My gunsmith did an awesome trigger job and changed out the stock trigger giving me a a crisp 3lb pull and polished up the mag release, changed the mag release spring so mags go in smooth as butter now.
I voted against Obama before it was cool.

The full length dust cover rail makes a world of difference in the "when I run out of bullets I'm going to beat you to death with the pistol" look that causes bad guys to run in fear, and lesser men to feel inadequate. It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911!
