EAA's... any out there?

Were any EAA handguns able to make it through before the big Roster law came into effect? The thought of a CZ75 clone in 10 freaking millimeters via PPT really has me hot and bothered to the point where it's 2AM and I can't go to sleep.

I never really wanted the Witness 10mm too much, 15 rd mags and I think the CZ platform was not intended for such a powerful cartridge though obviously it can be done. I could have sworn I remember someone at the range with a CZ 10mm, maybe the compact, like in 2001-2002.

I have one .40 S&W after 10 years the trigger is still a little crunchy. Overall a very accurate pistol and you can't go wrong with a solid steel frame.

Many, many, many were sold in CA before the roster was even considered into existence.
My buddy bought the first one I ever shot back in 1994. It was a standard wonder finish 9mm full size. My lust for them was on...
I ended up only buying one large size standard blued frame (my bad, I'm an idiot now). But I have the 22LR, 9mm, 40S&W, 357sig, 45ACP and 10mm slides (and mags) to convert the frame to each caliber.

Its a SWEET shooting pistol. I am seriously considering a hard chrome finish and making it my daily carry piece. It fits my hand VERY WELL, is a shoft shooter in any caliber (including the 10mm corbon +P loads) and is very acurate.

My only complaints? Corners are kinda sharp and early 45 mags that lack the red follower are total crap. Ambi safety's would be nice. Aftermarket parts as upgrades are kinda hard to find.

Other than that its a sweet pistol. Its a large gun but even the smallest hands don't have much problems with it. Its actually the same width as my 1911's with standard size grips.

I wish I had bought a wonderfinsih large caliber compact frame when I had the chance. Any of the large caliber frames are convertable to ANY available caliber in the conversion list while the small caliber (9mm and 40) are NOT convertable to the larger 45 and 10mm. Also, the plastic frames are more picky about caliber conversions so I would stay away from them just so have a greater selection down the road in options for the gun.

I had a EAA in .45 before the gun dropped off the list. Then I added a 10mm kit and the gun shoots fine. No damage, unlike what some others might claim. I'm never selling my Witness. Good luck finding one through PPT.

How much did you shoot the 10mm? And was it full power ammo or the reduced loads that you usually find in 10mm. Mot the stuff I've been finding in 10mm lately has 40S&W type ballistics, I'll have to order some doubletap ammo I suppose.

I like the idea of a 38super EAA, 18 round mag and all but that will have to wait until I get out of this state.

I had an EAA in .45 years ago- I'd have probably been more interested if it were a 10mm.. It was a big heavy gun!
Nothing wrong with it, reliable, etc., but nothing outstanding enough for me to keep it. 10mm power levels would have made it more interesting

I have a 45 ACP it is reliable and accurate. Did not have to break the bank either.

I bought my .45 back in 97 and shoot it all the time I have never had a problem with it! It is a nice piece.

If you're in the San Jose area, Sportsmen's Supply had a nice looking low mileage 2 tone Witness in .45 earlier this week for $399.

I was tempted, but I'm holding out for another revolver and don't want to wipe out my gun fund...

That's a good deal on a 2 tone. To bad its out of my area, I'd snap it up!
