You'll probably get a better response in the reloading section. That said, have you looked at any reloading manuals? That will give you starting loads and what powders/primers/bullets you will need. You can also look into specific loads for your specific pistol. That can give starting data as well. Beware, some reloaders have lots of experience and load over recommended max loads which may not be safe for your intended use. For the newbie its best to stick to proven loads in manuals or online gunpowder sites. Oh, and reloading can get as addictive as shooting and guns themselves so beware

Primers: Whatever large pistol primers you can find
              Powder: HP38/Win231
              Bullets: Whatever's cheapest

              Blast away!
Then another horse PONY came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a huge sword. My kinda guy.

✟ In the beginning was the 1911, and the 1911 was THE pistol, and it was good. And behold the Lord said, "Thou shalt not muck with my disciple John's design for it is good and it workith. For John made the 1911, and lo all of his weapons, from the designs which I, the Lord, gave him upon the mountain."✟

If you have never reloaded it might be best to not get a progressive press at the start. But as others have said read, read and read some more. To get you started I would suggest the ABCs of Reloading.
