is this show bigger than the costa mesa one? the same size? or smaller..?"Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire."Comment

Smaller than Costa Mesa, I was there a few months back. All under one roof. Hard to find the guns amongst the beanie babies, plastic jewelry, pink flamingos and airsoft. But they are there."If Jesus had a gun he would be alive today"-Homer SimpsonComment

hmmmm then i guess its mail order ammo for me then"Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria. Prices on ammo appeared to be markedly reduced at the Del Mar show this past weekend (e.g., one vendor was selling 50-round boxes of PMC .45 ACP for $16.99 and I found 9mm selling for $8.99/box elsewhere). I held off buying ammo at Del Mar, but am planning to purchase some at Ontario. It also seems to me that Ontario has fewer "garbage vendors" and more firearms-oriented sellers than Del Mar.Comment

True, but atleast 50% of the CM show is filled with vendors selling beef jerky, walking sticks, or war novelty items. Which is fine if thats what you're looking for.. but last time I went - nothing was to be bought except some carrying cases for my pistols.
How does the Ontario show hold up in terms of percentage of vendors actually selling gun stuff? I don't mind a smaller show if it means a higher concentration of vendors that count.Last edited by gorenut; 07-20-2010, 9:29 AM.Comment

I'd say the percentages are equal ... just on a smaller scale. I went to the Ontario "gunshow" a few years ago ... I was just glad that I didn't pay for parking.
What happened to the good ol' days of the gunshows at Anaheim stadium and LA County fairgrounds?Comment

Its a good place to buy beef jerky, and cheap pot metal Chinese made gun accessory crap and airsoft crap. Deals on guns? Nope. Although bulk ammo is always nice to find there.Comment
