I just bought my new Springfield Armory XD 9mm today and couldnt wait to take it to the range.
First impression with the new hardware was that I liked it. Came with a good sturdy case, two 10rd magazines, a holster and mag holster.
Everything looked good with the gun.
I shot two boxes of Remington 115gr UMC with no mishaps at all. Everything fed well and every round went bang and every round was ejected perfectly.
However, I was kind of dissappointed with the accuracy of the gun.
I shot about 150 rounds at about 10 yards and I must say I wasnt very happy. I am trying to post pictures of my targets but my downloaded isnt working.
Every 8 shots or so it would send a stray shot like 3-5 inches wide or low and high. I couldnt understand why. Is there a break in period with this gun or something ? My accuracy with my Rossi 1-5/8" .357 is more accurate than this gun at that range.
I am going to practice more and get used to the gun and figure it out.
Overall I would say I like the gun but I am concered about the accuracy on the initial outing.
