    CZ 75 from Tx

Here's kind of a dual question: My stepfather, who was a Chief of Police and FFL gave me a CZ75 9mm about ten years ago before he passed away. I inquired about paperwork at the time and he told me I had nothing to worry about as far as transferring it from him to me. Now I'm stationed in San Diego, (Navy) Is it illegal to have this gun in my possession in Ca and If so, how would I make it legal? Also, if I were interested in selling this to a Ca resident, could I?

Btw, tue transaction occurred in Texas, my home state of residents, not in California.

Check out this link, it talks about the navy's new personal weapons policys on base. Im directing this to you as one of my friends is a naval officer as well as gun owner.http://www.wavy.com/dpp/military/Nav...irearms-policy

Also, to comply with state law you want to do a new resident handgun ownership report and send the doj 19 dollars with that.

Ty for the reply about the new base policy, my command is a great supporter of gun rights so i have back up there.

I know the transfer paperwork asks for CADL /ID info, but I can't see a reason you can't sell it while living here... although a CZ75 from your stepfather probably qualifies as a "keeper" imho.
