    All good suggestions that I will not fault.
    My suggestion would be a stainless Taurus Model 85 with 3" barrel and Hogue rubber grips.
    This is a good fishing gun. When fishing is bad a load up some wad cutters and practice killing cans and old water bottles.
    I have taken an unscheduled bath in a creek I was fishing and no harm was done to the gun. Dried it out, oiled it up and it was GTG.
    Yes...I can be hard on equipment at times.

          Check out the taurus line of revolvers, and if you want a step up I also suggest the Ruger SP101! I have similar activities as you but I'm in a fishing tube wearing my waders out in the sierras. Tell us what you go with
