    Kel-Tec P32 double strike capability?

I've been looking around at pocket guns. Reading about the P32, manufacturer's web site says it is DAO and has a hammer. That said, does the little gun have the ability to re-strike a primer, or does the slide need to be cycled in order to strike again, similar to the p380? That's one thing I like about the Tomcat is its simple, SA/DA trigger just like a fullsize gun with restrike ability. I don't think its a deal killer either way, I'm just trying to learn a little more before I buy one.

Oh and secondly, the Tomcat has a floating firing pin. What about the Kel-Tec, does it have a floating firing pin or transfer bar? The mfg says after firing, the hammer is held partly back from the firing pin, so perhaps it has neither?

No the P32 does not have the ability to restrike a primer with out being recocked. A heavy but smaller option than the Beretta is the NAA Guardian 32, which is DAO with restrike capability.
Yes the P32 has a floating firing pin.

Many thanks Trapper. I've heard good things about the NAA 32, as well as the Seecamp. I'm kinda old school I suppose as I still like a metal framed gun such as those, but I'd still buy a Kel-Tec if the price was right. I also like the P380 Kahr, but man they just seem like they are priced higher than what they need to be. But, if they are selling them at that price then more power to Kahr I suppose, good for them.

Over the years I've owned the Beretta Tomcat, NAA 32, and Keltec 32. The Beretta was bulky for a 32 and a good friend of mine had a broken firing pin on his after a few hundred rounds. The NAA was a great pistol, it is a little heavy and the trigger return spring should be replaced every couple hundred rounds. When mine broke NAA replaced it free of charge. Costing $249 in August or 2000, the Keltec was the least expensive of the three and has performed flawlessly for the last ten years.
In December I bought a Ruger LCP to replace the Keltec as a warm weather carry pistol.

Seecamp is surprisingly comfortable to fire for a gun that you can literally put in your wallet.

The NAA is a close copy of the Seecamp AFAIK but I think the Seecamp is smaller than the NAA by a bit.

The Beretta has a flaw of the firing pin tend to break if dryfired without a snapcap.
