If you want a smoother hammer and trigger to make the revo easier to shoot, you can always send it to a gunsmith. Just got my S&W 6" 686 Plus back with an action job. Unbelievable - every bit as smooth as a Python - almost semi-auto like. Cost about $60.00. The 'smith now has my 4" 686 Plus.Last edited by cactuspete; 04-29-2007, 7:39 PM.Comment

I had an action job done on mine by Bain and Davis, and blackened by Robar. Hardly any muzzle flip at all when shooting 38's, and not much more with 357'sL.A. County

I recently recommended the 5" Model 60 to a friend whose wife was going to use it and it has worked out very well. Of course she shoots it with 38 Specials to minimize blast & recoil. I think the J frame with this barrel length is a very good balance of power, inherent accuracy and controlability.GOA Member & SAF Life MemberComment
