    K or L frames or GP 100 in 38/357

Used Model 10s or M&Ps are relatively inexpensive also. As are the old DA "Six" series by Ruger.

      Thanks, folks!

At least I know where to steer her to begin; who knows what she'll take a liking to? It'll be fun finding out!

If you want a smoother hammer and trigger to make the revo easier to shoot, you can always send it to a gunsmith. Just got my S&W 6" 686 Plus back with an action job. Unbelievable - every bit as smooth as a Python - almost semi-auto like. Cost about $60.00. The 'smith now has my 4" 686 Plus.

          +1 for S&W M66

I had an action job done on mine by Bain and Davis, and blackened by Robar. Hardly any muzzle flip at all when shooting 38's, and not much more with 357's

I recently recommended the 5" Model 60 to a friend whose wife was going to use it and it has worked out very well. Of course she shoots it with 38 Specials to minimize blast & recoil. I think the J frame with this barrel length is a very good balance of power, inherent accuracy and controlability.
