I get an erie feeling when I keep hearing about these damn government agencies that are trying to ban guns...I know we all feel that way, BUT how and when are we gonna stand up as a nation and fight back wether it be governing economics, the gulf oil spill situations, ETC. We the people means close to nothing in there eyes, they are not regular citizens, leave one handgun in the whitehouse, our the mayor of Chicagos residence. No armed guards or secret service, they need to live like we do and wake up. Im asking for ideas how WE can change all this BS...

Well you can either A) Be part of the problem that is doing nothing or B) Be part of the solution and come up with a plan that everyone can agree to.

Or you can just complain about it on a public forum...

The law is just like fashion, art, and political systems. It ebbs and flows. Right now the pendulum is just starting to swing back in our direction in a national sense. If we don't get out there and make our voices heard then that swing can be cut short. So yes, I think it has helped us, but there is still much more to be done.

The op did complain a little, but the main point of his thread is to brainstorm ideas. So dont blast him for complaining. I agree that "educating" that masses is not exactly easy. And trying to light a fire under the arses of people who own one shotgun just because but dont care about gun laws is not easy. I admit to having no real ideas, but that is partially because I am filled with a pit of hopelesness. There is gotta be something we can do to stop this landslide of ever gaining momentum towards a police state type nation.

If you're worried about gun control laws in the near future go over to the 2A forum and read up on the Supreme Court decision of McDonald v. City of Chicago.

It may just give you a slight glimmer of hope.

What sickens me for example is how CA allows raves to go on, the cities clearly know whats going on (yes we all know what a rave is, underage kids go and do ectacy, and all sorts of drugs and party all night) And these kids often OD and die. The other day it was on the news a underage girl OD'ed on drugs and died but they dont stop it or enforce it. Yet they try to ban harmless gun shows which mostly these days sells beef jerkey and accesories. And it even brings in money to CA since the vendors there collect sales tax.

They wanna ban guns, all it does is effect law abiding citizens taking away their hobby which is hunting, or going to the range to shoot at tragets in a controlled safe area. The criminals will get there guns one way or another like they always do. They are criminals for a reason and never buy guns legally anyways. So its only making it strict for the people who are innocent and plan to buy them leggaly just to have fun. It makes no sense. I wanna move outa here so bad.

We just have too many mentally sick people in our society. From the grown up kids that are crazed on drugs, but even without drugs they were taught wrong from the start or were just abused mentally and physically by their parents/guardians, to the power hungry politicians that will abuse their authority if given the chance. Our law abiding citizens must fight for their rights to keep and bear arms.

The criminal isn't worried about or effected by ammo laws all he needs is three in the magazine so he can run up and kill you to earn stripes and be seen, he's not gonna buy ammo
