    Glock 27 First Shoot Surprise

Bought it Saturday, shot it today for the first time.

.40 S&W recoil was NOT bad at all.

I was surprised by how well it shot for first time out of the chute.

As a (TX) car gun this I'll definitely work!

Very nice. I have heard of a lot of people finding that the compact Glocks have a very high accuracy potential.
What do you mean my birth certificate expired?

Very nice shooting. Have you tried shooting without the extension? It's a different gun in my opinion. That extra finger helps with stability so much.

Yep, the third group of rounds were from the short mag.

          STILL shot very well.

I'm really surprised at how well this little pea shooter shoots.

I was expecting hot recoil and marginal accuracy until I got used to the trigger, but I don't know how to put it...it just SHOT!

Same here, the first time I shot my 27 was for qualification, I also qualified with a PM9 that day that I have qualified with and shot numerous times. I actually shot the 27 better.

I also find that the recoil is very controlable, not what I was expecting after all the internet chatter about massive amounts of recoil.

That's what surprised me the most.

I was able to maintain a neutral, balanced hold and shoot reasonably accurate followup shots.

                Little bugger sure fooled me.

Maybe some folk are just better off sticking with 9mm or 22lr.

                      hahaha...not far from it

I've been reading Brian Enos' book and practicing a neutral/balanced grip and seeing the front sight.

                      It's paying off!

Sorry to jack your thread, I just ordered a new G 27 today, I'm curious if anybody knows if all Glocks come with ambidextrous mag release now?
Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.

I was surprised how well the G27 shot. I like the subcompact Glocks a lot and rented one. Shot a couple hundred rounds thru it at the range and bought one the next day. I've had it for nearly a year now and I still love the little thing. It is snappy but I put a Brooks Tactical AGrip on it and it feels great now. The serrations don't dig into my hand anywhere near as bad as they did on the naked frame.

Its only on Gen4 models, which are not CA legal and only are currently available in G17, and G22.
