Looking to purchase a Kimber

I've been looking to purchase a Kimber to add to my short list collection.

I have a couple question though. I was looking to either get a Gold Match II blue or a Raptor II blue.
I noticed that the Match has a stainless barrel and the Raptor has a steel barrel, other that the obvious rust issue is there any certain advantage between the two?

Now for the sites, Adjustable or not? how often do you make site adjustments?

The Gold Match is a competition gun, it is worked over allot more then other Kimber custom shop guns, it is built for accuracy.

If your looking for a very accurate range/Hd gun I would go with the Rapture and combat sites. If competition and absolute accuracy are your goal the Gold Match for sure.

Your barrel/gun will not rust with minimal care/cleaning and gun oil.

Both are great guns. I have the Ultra, Pro, and Full Size Raptor II's and all are dead on accurate. I hope to add their stainless brothers in the future.

The reason i was asking about the stainless vs steel is, I thought stainless was less durable than steel? I thought SS was a cast metal then milled.

I suppose this is not he case with today's Stainless alloys?

I get to pick up a SS Raptor II on Sat. My brother has an old Custom Kimber that got me hooked on them. If you are looking, check out Nelsontactical.com. They were really great, speedy, and helpful.
