Lowest Priced FFL transfer fees in OC?

I need a FFL to accept a revolver I won on Gunbroker from a dealer out of state. I called a couple of places and the transfer fee including DROS is ranging from $70 to $100. I could have sworn that I saw a thread on Calguns listing out the FFL's and the price they charge but for the life of me I can't find it.

Can someone in the OC area recommend a place that has the lowest FFL fee?

    Thanks.

What is the cost for DROS and can it vary from dealer to dealer?

$75 is the cheapest I've seen in Orange County. Both T&A and OC Indoor Range seem to charge that much.

You might want to call Mike at OC Armory, he might have a slightly lower cost.

Riflegear charges $75 total too. They are very professional and get you in and out of there, so that is why I keep going back.

                    +1 for Riflegear.

They do FFL transfers without dragging their feet, and treat you like a customer. Other stores I've been to treat you like a leper with AIDS if you're not buying guns from them. Even if it's a little more to do the transfer, I will gladly pay the extra ten bucks for good service.

                      Jim Bowen

AKI Security in Huntington Beach. $25 for the transfer plus DROS fees.

                      $50 total.

Then you can jump on the 10 day wait support thread....

by state law the fee is limited to $35 for face to face PPTs. For out of state or mail order transfers they can pretty much charge whatever they want.

Truth or FUD - I will have to buy a triggerlock from the FFL before I can take it home?

You will need a receipt for a CA DOJ certified lock dated within 30 days of your DROS.
