I have a friend up in WA state who is moving down to CA, the problem is he has a sig556 pistol (some problem huh), I think he can bring it into the state legally maybe with a few mods. Any body have the scoop?

Tell him to put a bullet button on it and register it with the DOJ once he comes here. Pistol registration not AW. You should inform him of the hi-cap mag laws here also.Valkyrie Arms

A bullet button needs to be installed, and he can only use 10rd magazines (not that it matters, since he can't bring in any of his large-capacity magazines anyways). He will then fill out the personal handgun importation form, to register it as a new resident.Comment
