I have a Dan Wesson 1911 Pointman-7 in 10MM. I read a Sticky that listed he standard 10MM full size recoil spring rate to be 20 lbs.
I then read a post from DW that for heavy loads in the 10MM they suggested a 22 lb recoil spring. I an effort to protect my gun on some limited close-to-max loads, I ordered a Wolf 22 lb spring (stock number 41922). The packaging states for Colt 1911, Colt government and Gold Cup model 45's. It didn't list specifically the 10MM. I will call Wolff in the morning as they are now closed. Before I open the package, does anyone have any opinion as to whether this spring is appropriate (meaning it will fit) for my DW 10 MM with a full length guide rod?
