    ENFIELD MK 2

    I am trying to purchase an enfield mk 2 from out of state. Is this pistol legal for inport in california.

    If you mean the Enfield Mk2 revolver in caliber .476, it was manufactured between 1880 and 1889 -- and in service from 1880 until 1955.

    That would make it an antique under both federal and CA definition. (pre 1899)

    Now, the Enfield No2 Mk 1 was made up until 1957 and would be, by virtue of >50 years old, C&R.

    Either is roster exempt. A C&R handgun must come in through a CA dealer for transfer to you.
