So in hopeful anticipation of a good McDonald verdict and the idea that I may have a CCW someday, I was wondering, is a P2000 too big to be a CCW?

P2000 for carry?

I can honestly say, it's a great choice. -
Does it compare in size to a G19?Comment

I would say the P2000 would be a great choice for CCW. A couple years back I held a P2000 9mm and it felt great. It pointed naturally and I liked having the DA/SA with decocker. I put a deposit on it and was going to buy it but I had a pit in my stomach at the time because of the price (about $800 if I remember correctly) and it wasn't a planned purchase but more of an impulse buy, so I backed out of the deal with the FFL. I felt bad for doing that and it was a really nice gun but I had to do it at the time.
I have since really gotten to like Glocks and have 2 on my CCW. If I was going to buy a HK for CCW, the P2000 would be the one for sure. One consideration NOT to get the P2000 for CCW for me was that they are more expensive and I would hate to lose the gun to the system if there were a shooting and it was confiscated. Other than that, if that's what you want, it would be a very good choice. I believe it is right around the same size as a Glock 19 too.Comment

You bet... The P2000 is a great pistol for many reasons including "Carry" I just purchased a P2000 V2 9mm.

sorry, but the name p2000 reminded me of a defunct pistol. does anyone remember the name and manufacturer. it was 9mm, had a rotating bolt locking system, similar to an m-16/ar-15, double stack mag. think it was an s&w. came out around the time of the glock. That may be a CG first!
