How many rounds?

Hi, I am new to guns. I recently pruchased a sig and love it, but is there a limit to how much is safe to shoot at one time? Is there warpage possibilities if you shoot more than a certain amount of rounds?

No way, shoot it all you want. The only thing that may happen in the 500-1000 round range is a decrease in reliability due to carbon build up. A quick cleaning will fix that though.

When I first got my Sig 226 .40 I would shoot 200 rounds at a time. My gun was smoking hot - it became a burn danger to pull the slide back. My wrists began to hurt too.

How fast did you shoot the 200 rounds?

Most of my pistols can be a burn danger after unloading multiple mags rapid fire.

The most I've shot is 1000k rounds over 2 days as part of a pistol course. I regularly shoot 200 rounds during matches. No problems

if you had an endless supply of loaded mags, maybe it would get accelerated wear when it got extremely hot, but if you actually have to stop and manually push new bullets into your mags, i'd say you can't do much to it.
