    Kimber's Ultra Line up

What the heck Is the difference between an Ultra CDP II and the Ultra Crimson Trace II other then the laser grips of course, and why is the Ultra Crimson Trace II not ok in California when the Ultra Covert II is?

the Ultra Crimson Trace comes with a laser grip and doesnt come with Night Sight's, CDP doesn't have a Laser not sure about night sight, I have a Ultra Carry II/ with night sights and Im just going to buy the Laser grip form Kimber, but one day I just want to get the Ultra Covert II....

CDP has Mepro nite sights, fronts strap checkering, ambi thump safety, and is given a carry melt work over by thier custom shop to remove any sharp edges on the gun. Also has the upgraded trigger.

Crimson carry is basically a stock ultra with the slide release pin recessed and two toned.

Thanks for that info... I was never sure I really wanted the Laser, but I did decide to go the the CDP, If I decide I want the laser I can always add one later on.

I own two CDP's the 4" Pro and the 3" Ultra. I believe they are the best ccw 1911s you can buy for under $2000. Over $2000 you start getting into your Wilson, Brown, Bear, etc and its a whole new ball game.
