Need some Recommendations for SA/DA .45's

I need some recommendations for .45(or 9mm) Double Action/Single Action pistols. I'm thinking of the XD45 but I'm not sure if its DA/SA. Can anybody confirm that? For the 9mm I'm thinking of the FN Herstal FNP9-M. Anyone have the FNP9-M? thanks in advance

The XD is DA only, just like the Glock.

I love my USP's for sa/da.

Either the HK USP .45 or the Sig P220R. Both are amazing weapons, if you can, go to a range and rent both to see which you like better. The XD is not a DA/SA.

The Sig 220ST/R/Carry/Combat/Sport series pistols are all excellent DA/SA pistols. The HK USP 45F/C series pistols comes a very very close second.

Don't forget S&W and Ruger

The H&K USP and Sig P220 are certainly good choices. I would add to that list the S&W 457S and the Ruger P345. These may be cheaper DA/SA alternatives to the H&K and Sig:

Gotta agree with blka4alb and 45R, either the P220 in any configuration or USPf .45

Those two platforms imo are the top DA/SA pistols around.
