Does a G17 magazine sit flush in a G22?

You are comparing two different things a glock 17 is in 9mm a glock 22 is in .40cal. So if you're asking are the two pistols same size yes, but will magazines fit flush no, it shouldn't.

I'm thinking about getting the Lone Wolf or Storm Lake 9mm conversion barrel and so was wondering how the G17 mags would fit. Will it stick out a lot?

I think I know where this is headed. Conversion? A Glock 17 mag will fit the same as a Glock 22 mag if they have the same base plate. I used stock mags the same when I had my conversion.

It'll work fine ... whether it fits 100% flush I can't say.

Sorry for the newbness, but I've yet to own a Glock. Are you saying the full capactiy magazines are bigger/longer than the 10 rounders we get here?

I'll also add this. I use to have the Storm Lake conversion barrel in my G22. Just don't use Wolf ammo. The polymer coating melts and causes the cases to get stuck and really jams up the gun. Brass and aluminum work fine.

No, but on standard capacity mags (i.e. Hi-caps) you can add +2 and +3 base plates. There were also the Scherer mags available that held 33 rounds. Before the ban, I bought a few hi-caps for the G17, but never got around to getting the gun. Instead, I ended up getting a G22. Since I had the mags, I bought the conversion barrel. Then, I got out of the plastic phase all together and sold everything but what are now called re-build kits and the extended base plates.

Ummm actually, youre wrong.

Yes, the 10rders with stock baseplates fit just the same.
