    Springfield Armory TRP

I can't tell if this is legal for purchase in California or not. The model number for the TRP in black on Springfield Armory's website is PC9108LP. But the number listed on the CA list of approved handguns is PC9108L. Is it the same gun?

It's the same one. I've seen it for sale at a gun store near me.

Springfield ends all it's model numbers with "P" but the roster doesn't include the "P".

My friend recently bought the TRP...very nice gun!

Quick question for you 1911 dudes while we're on the subject of the TRP. I'm debating between this (the TRP) or the Kimber Raptor II. Give me your insight!

TRP Operator with Full rail was the best looking 1911 IMO.
do they still make full rail version??? I dont see them at springfield website

the TRP is a much superior gun. the TRP is the the top 1911 in the Springfield line that doesn't come from the Custom Shop. it is the Professional, built to a price point

I own a stainless TRP and a Grand Raptor. Both great guns but if I could only keep one, it would be the TRP. I shoot the TRP quite a bit and haven't even touched the Raptor in a long time. The Raptor sure is a pretty gun though.

I took that pic about three years ago. Here's another taken around the same time:

                    TRP, hands down!

I'm a Kimber fan, but in this instance... I would have to definitely vote for the TRP.

Smitty hit the nail on the head here. I just DROSed a PI9134LP on Sunday. The DROS paperwork was written up as a PI9134L - no "P" at the end of the model number. You are good to go if you choose the TRP listed.

The "P" stands for package, all the springfields come with a holster and mag carrier (junk). The TRP over the Kimber anyday
