    best ar pistol buffer tube?

Im looking into building an AR pistol in the near future and im wondering who makes the best, and the smallest AR pistol buffer tube / receiver extension? Ofcourse obviously reliability is my first concern, but i would also like to have it as short as possible.

    Thanks

I've used 2 GSE buffers with no issues.

thanks for the quick replies! The GSE buffers are exactly what im looking for. Another quick question regarding the GSE buffers, can they be used with a normal bolt, or do they need a proprietary bolt?

Most any bolt should work, it comes with a sleeve that fits into the back of the bolt.

I thought in CA we can't build an AR15 type pistol. That they have to be a manufactured pistol when we obtain it.

if you aren't roster-exempt, acquring a "pistol" lower that you can build an AR-pistol from can be difficult, but it isn't impossilble. many people just build their own lower from an 80% lower. Others buy a pistol lower in a PPT transfer from someone else. And there is the interstate intrafamily transfer through a knowledgable FFL option as well.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

I must be the only one who has not been able to make my GSE short 1911 spring receiver extension group work. Failed to reliably return the bolt into battery. I even tried increasing the force on the spring, no go.

The PWS one is really nice, the tightening of it is funky with the big hex head on the bottom and two tiny hex head screws on top, but I really like the QD sockets and foam sleeve.

so basically this is a SSE ar type lower? can we do that? I have no resources or the know how to complete a 80%.

is this a good work around? I want a ar pistol with a 7in pws upper :-)
