JK... The DW really made me a 1911 fan. Before this, my only .45 was my beloved Colt Double Eagle.
I like that Fiber Optic sight. That'll be my next upgrade.

I love my dw cbob. Best 1911 at the price point and even a little above. My dad has the pm7 so i just can't justify buyingthe same thing he has. I'll just shoot his pm7 and my cbob and we are just all one big happy family.

I really like the CBOB but I think I may end up with an EMP or a 9mm compact 1911 instead of a .45. Either that or maybe a Kimber CDP. I like both of those quite a bit.

You will enjoy your new DW I'm sure. Legesat was nice enough to let me shoot his when I was considering buying one and it is a really nice gun. Shot great also!

I was unable to find one tho at the time and then DW announced the info about the new model being more $$. That made it that much harder. Bud's never seemed to have one when I checked.

The emp can be had for around 1k or so. Cheaper if you buy used. I like the CBOB a whole lot but its going up in price enough to make me want to go springfield or kimber though.

I have one too (a 2009). I love it.

I didn't really like the black on black sights, so as a poor man's upgrade I just painted the front sight with bright orange nail polish.

Was it a hassle to install the fiber optic front sight? Did you need a gunsmith to do it?
