Need an opinion between two holsters for G19 please

I found two holsters for the G19 on midway, and both seem to be well liked from the reviews. If somebody owns a g19 and has used either one of these holsters, can you please give me your opinion?

    Black Hawk CQC Serpa:

Of the 2, definitely the BlackHawk CQC Serpa.

i have owned and have used both for carry. the Blackhawk CQC Serpa is the superior holster for security and speed of draw. you do need to be aware of drawing and releasing the lock correctly, as pushing the lever, rather than pressing it, could result in faulty placement of your finger on the frame...it's effect is compounded by the curvature of the Glock's frame.

where the Glock holster outshines the CQC is in price and that it is ambidextrous

I will agree with that. Had one for my G26 before I sold it (the Glock) and still have one for my G17. Love it!

I use a G19 and Serpa holster for IDPA and various training classes. I like the combo, but you should be aware this retention holster does require the push of a button to release the pistol. Mine came with both through the belt and paddle mount adapter. Use it through the belt exclusively and woks fine for me. Have no experience with the other holster.

I have had both. The Serpa is definitely the better holster, the two can't really compare. The Glock holster is a good holster for a cheap price. It works, but it is just a basic holster fitted for that size glock. You also have to cut out a couple of the plastic pieces in the belt loops if you want anything larger than a 1" belt to fit through them.

                      Neither. I've had both...

Go to www.comp-tac.com and order a belt or paddle hoslter for your G19.

I'm sorry I bought a CQC, it was a total waste of money IMHO.

Serpa.... I use one for my duty weapon when I go plain clothes to court. Fast draw and good retention.

I agree, that's what I own and it fits the Glock perfectly. Just wanted to add, learn how to use the lock release properly and don't modify the lock mechanism. If you practice, your finger will be on the gun frame 99.99% of the time. So learn what to do in the 0.01%.....don't squeeze.
