just thought I'd say howdy to all my friends. Been up here a while now and It's GREAT.

I'll apply for my ccw (called cpl here) in another month. Heading for the gunshow today to browse, there is a whole bunch of cool stuff up here.

the CPLs in WA state does not require any type of class or training. You just apply and pay and your good to go, as long as your background records are clean. I grew up in Seattle and a lot of citizens conceal.

Unlike California where the CCW lists which firearms you are allowed to carry, Washington's permit licenses the individual; not the firearms. Thus, a licensed individual can carry any number and any type of pistol or revolver and it doesn't need to be indicated on the permit. This is what frustrates me about California's permit system. I own numerous handguns that I use for different purposes yet my permit only allows me to carry the three "listed" firearms. Arghhhhh!! And yes, I'm a former resident of Washington State.

One more thing about being licensed in Washington is that it exempts an individual from any waiting period when purchasing a firearm. Once required paperwork is completed and a call is made to the NICS system it is "cash and carry."

DD, MG, SBR & SBS are not legal for non-exempt persons (LE/Gov/Mil/FFL SOT).

Also, under WA law, even though it's legal to own a noise suppressor, it is illegal for you to use it.

The left coast pretty much tries to dictate its liberal policies onto the greater more rural areas of the state. Become active in whatever. local. firearms politics you can.

No, CA is a may-issue state with success rates depending upon what county you live in. The further you get into the boonies, like San Bernadino, Tulare, Redding, etc. the better your chances are.

I have a friend who lives in WA, he commented on that. That's the most retarded thing I've seen on gun laws in a long time.

And Greg was talking about you becoming a Class 2/3 SOT dealer, at which point you can legally get any NFA gear (Class 2 = dealer, Class 3 = manufacturer), and either sell it or use it for personal use.
